The Penguin, whose real name is Oswald Chesterfield Cobblepot, is a comic book character created by Bob Kane and Bill Finger in 1941, published by DC Comics. It is one of Batman’s main and most aggressive enemies.

The Penguin appears for the first time in December 1941 on Detective Comics’s number 58. His editorial existence will be overthrown by Batman returns of 1992 that will change the story and appearance until 1995 when, with the story Penguin triumphant, it will recover its classic connotations and continue its criminally uphill career.
